Electrolysis

1.48     understand an electric current as a flow of electrons or ions

Learn it!  Electrons and ions are charged particles.  When charged particles are moving in the same direction this is a flow of charge, which is an electrical current (It’s a bit like lots of water molecules all moving in the same general direction in a river, which flows downhill.)
