Simple molecular structures are made from lots if individual molecules, Covalent bonds between atoms within the molecules
are strong but these do not break when a substance melts (or boils). There are weak forces of attraction between molecules, and it is these weak attractions that are “broken”, allowing
the molecules to move apart.
